These 5" Extra-Thick Sanding Interface Pads are meant to be used with 5" sanding discs to allow for more consistent results when sanding contours. Their increased thickness over conventional interface pads further reduces the likelihood of over-sanding and creating uneven spots, by helping to compensate for the pressure being put on the dual-action sanding machine. 

As shown below, the Extra-Thick 5" Sanding Interface Pads offer nearly twice as much padding as conventional, garden-variety foam interface pads. While many interface pads are about 1/2" thick, we offer a heftier 7/8" thick pad.
